We are thrilled to announce the approval of Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre as a non-profit, 501(c)(3), organization. This is particularly exciting for us because it means that we will be able to offer our donors the benefit of a charitable contribution tax deduction for any gifts made to AYBT this year and in the future!

The performance of A Yuletide Ballet last year was pure magic; with fresh choreography and inspired dancers it was just the beginning of a new and exciting company. In April, Company members performed Paquita in the Spring Repertoire and our talented choreographers brought home two honorable mentions, one finalist and the overall winner in Panoply’s 2007 Choreography Competition. While our past performances have been produced under the direction of Alabama Youth Ballet School, all future performances will be performed by AYBT.

This holiday season, AYBT will be presenting A Yuletide Ballet, featuring The Nutcracker and Skaters. Fresh choreography and new, delightful costumes promise to bring magic to your holiday season. Making this an even more memorable event, we will be performing at the state-of-the-art, newly opened Merrimack Arts Center. The intimacy of the auditorium will give you an up-close experience that you will not find anywhere else in North Alabama. In the spring, the company will present Cinderella and other new choreography to delight an audience of all ages.

The production of a quality performance is expensive; there is a continual need for new costumes and props, and we depend greatly upon the generosity of our patrons to achieve these goals. Please consider making a donation today. If you need additional information, you may contact us here.
