Few fairytales are as well loved, and few ballets as lovely to behold, as The Sleeping Beauty.

AYBT, under the inspired direction of Keren Gibb-Hilliard and David Herriott, casts the perfect spell with its traditionally inspired and regally costumed production of this fairytale classic.

The Sleeping Beauty marks the 2nd in a series of AYBT’s Fairytale Ballet Theatre, a classic jewel that you will not want to miss.

Set to the music of Piotyr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (The Nutcracker), this tale has it all…a beautiful princess, a vast multitude of fairies, the evil Carabosse (danced by our very own Maryanne Peterson), and of course the most charming of Prince’s who wakes Aurora with a kiss…

AYBT is proud of its local cast of company members, highlighted by senior dancers, Lauren Anderson and Luke Chitwood, who will dance the lead roles of Aurora and the Prince.
